Nice image, well seen, good colours. Not sure if the JPEG has made it look slightly soft, I would imagine it was probably sharp to begin with.

Yes, it does look a little soft on here but I have just had a look at the original and that is fine.

I thought it would be as I sometimes have the same issue.
Excellent David, I think I would try darkening the beach down quite a bit, and perhaps the boat half as much to see if it pops a little more?

I like this type of shot with nice lead in and good contrasting colours. Is the point of focus the front of the boat. This would be OK if you have a suitable aperture set say f8 or f11. I do not think the beah needs darkening as it all looks very natural.
