Jonathan grew up on the West coast of France, in a rural region wedged between the sandy waters of the Gironde estuary and the wild Atlantic Ocean. He first worked as a portraitist for a professional studio in the French Alps, and as a sports photographer for the UK studio DE Photo in Bristol. He travelled widely and says: "I started to notice that wherever I went, and whatever type of photography I explored, something kept drawing me back to that one element: water".

Shropshire-based Mark is one of the UK's leading wildlife photographers, a job he describes as 'The best job in the world'. He has been awarded in many wildlife competitions and won the 'Outdoor Photographer of the Year' title in 2011. A number of CCC members have been on his trips and assure us that we are in for a great night.

Thu 28 Nov 2024 - Harry Sedgwick Competiton
This annual competition is named after the late Harry Sedgwick, a CCC member whose photographic passions were landscape, people and architecture. Every year the subject rotates among those three genres. This year's theme is people. Members each submit three images which are scored out of 20 by the external judge. The member with the highest total wins. An enjoyable but tense evening is assured.

Tony is an outstanding fine art photographer with work in the permanent collection of the RPS, The Fox Talbot Museum, and in numerous corporate and private collections here in the UK, Europe, Japan and the United States. His books have sold more than 200,000 copies and have been translated into Dutch, German, Spanish, Taiwanese, Mandarin, Russian, and rather fittingly Polish. He is a member of the Landscape and Visual Arts panels at the RPS.

Paul is an outstanding landscape photographer and an expert at post-processing, particularly black and white editing. He is on the RPS Landscape panel and a regular presenter at the Society's workshops. Tonight he will lead an editing masterclass where he will demonstrate his own innovative techniques on CCC members' images. He and his business partner Michael Pilkington run the highly successful photo travel company, Aspect2i.

Her crafted portraits and landscapes meld place and person creating sociological visual and psychological narratives. She is represented by an agent in New York and Amsterdam and her striking work hangs in galleries around the world.

A popular and interactive evening, great for talking about photographs and photography. Members gather in small groups to discuss the highlights and lowlights of pictures submitted anonymously by other members.
Please bring along some prints of any size (mounted or unmounted) for an evening of small-group friendly discussions and critique.

An evening of fabulous macro photography. Slime moulds are neither fungi nor plant, they are myxomycetes. They are extremely small, averaging 1-4mm. This is probably the reason Barry only noticed them by chance in 2019, after many years photographing fungi.
