Michelle was born in South Africa and settled in the UK in 1987. She cites this background as informing her interest in sub-cultures and the exploration of contemporary social issues and challenges. Her crafted portraits and landscapes meld place and person creating sociological visual and psychological narratives. She is represented by an agent in New York and Amsterdam and her striking work hangs in galleries around the world.

Recent graduates from the University of Gloucestershire photography courses show off their best work. Courses include 'Editorial and Advertising' and 'Photojournalism and Documentary Photography'.

Every year we have a friendly battle against Cheltenham USA, based in Philadelphia. It’s a unique contest because the images are judged twice - by a UK judge at 7pm, then by a US judge at 11pm. 20 images per team from 20 different photographers. Is your picture in it?

A second instalment of Print Appreciation.
A popular and interactive evening, great for talking about photographs and photography. Members gather in small groups to discuss the highlights and lowlights of pictures submitted anonymously by other members.
Please bring along some prints of any size (mounted or unmounted) for an evening of small-group friendly discussions and critique.

An evening of fabulous macro photography. Slime moulds are neither fungi nor plant, they are myxomycetes. They are extremely small, averaging 1-4mm. This is probably the reason Barry only noticed them by chance in 2019, after many years photographing fungi.
