This is a photo of the Bristol Dock cranes together with the “The Matthew” replica.
I have removed a building crane in the background and tried to make the sky more interesting. I tried a b/w version but I though the four grey cranes produced a flat image.
Nice image, I just wonder if the colours are oversaturated or whether that's how they were.
For me, the picture is not the boat in the water, but the juxtaposition of the wooden, colourful, ship's rigging and crow's nest, against the 4 metallic, angular, grey cranes. Cropping to just above the boats deck would emphasise that, you could also then crop off the yellow and pale blue of the buildings on the left.
