This photo I took at last week’s club visit to Batsford Arboretum at the Sister’s Pool. There was a couple of people on the right of the bridge which I tried to crop out but I felt there was insufficient space between the bridge and the edge, so I removed them with a “cut and paste”. I increase slightly the texture of the rocks, and reduced some highlights in the bushes.
Fabulous David, I really love the colours throughout, especially the reflection of the bridge. I might be tempted to darken the clothing of the two people on the bridge to make them a little less conspicuous (and don't forget their reflections :-)), but I really like it!
Cheers, Des :-)
A nice picture which reminds me of Japanese art. I agree with Des about toning down the figures, I like their presence and feel they add something but yes maybe they are a bit too bright.
I agree with previous comments. Overall a nice image but the figures do need dulling and particulalry the reflection should always look less bright than the original.
