Found this grasshopper in the garden well camouflaged among vegetation. Very messy background but a good demonstration of its environment and the effectiveness of its camouflage.
I guess it does not want to be seen but good capture.

Can't tell what we're looking at in the thumbnail, but it actually stands out very well in the full picture. Great shot with super detail. The purple dangly thing on the right is eye-catching, cropping it out doesn't seem to affect the balance of the whole thing, and cropping a little off the bottom puts the grasshopper in the corner and it looks ready to jump into the middle of the frame.
Thanks I have tried your cropping suggestion Des and feel that this makes the image stronger.
