This was taken at Bath Christmas Market when we did a College trip down there. It was a bit wet but otherwise great fun photographically and my camera survived the rain. There were a lot of street photography opportunities around, this one is my favourite as it shows the violinist in action whilst being painted by a street artist. The backdrop of the old dairy is I feel complementary and I like the way the door in the middle is a third point of interest, making me wonder whether a third person will emerge from it to the reception of music and art! I tried a few different crops, I was limited in where I stood by the sheer volume of people around, and I also don't like the blue noticeboard on the right hand side but when I tried to crop or clone it out it didn't look right so instead I just desaturated and darkened it from what it was originally. Maybe the violinist's red violin case and luggage trolley could do with desaturating as well but I left them unaltered to get opinions on it. Also should I crop the writing out or leave it in as while it provides a sense of place is it distracting? Plenty to discuss. As usual 800px doesn't really do it justice.
I agree that the blue notice board on the RHS is a distraction but I think it could be removed by a combination of cloning and content aware deleting. You need to first remove the barrel by cloning which is not eas but worth it as you are then just left with the blue notice. You can then select the notice and hit delete when it will offer the fill panel so choose "content aware. This leaves the wall just a bit too clean so clone a litle of the stains and texture from the left but set the opacity to 50%. I agree that you should also desaturate the red a little so you are left with the two main characters and the door dominating.
