Wakeboarding at the weekend. I was photographing from the boat and this was when one of my grandaughters came off. It works quite well in mono I think, but I rather like the red bits in this version.

Nice action moment, I think the colour helps.
We discussed this on the phone, Dave, as you know. Now that you've explained it to me, I can see what it's about. Let's see what everyone thinks.
I also had to checlk on Wakeboarding and would have preferred to see the action just before she came off. However, the spray with a small amount of colour works.

I think this would be much stronger with a face/arm/hand popping through. As more of an abstract, you could tighten it up and lose the whole of the left hand side and a little off the bottom.
