The Nature Group frequently organise outings to nature reserves and other areas of interest, usually within the surrounding area. 'Nature' encompasses all aspects of the landscape, from animals, birds and insects, to plants, trees, fungi and the macroscopic world.
If you have an interest in the natural world then the Nature Group will have something to interest you, and interacting with other members of the group will help develop your photographic skills.

The next Nature Group outing will be to Slimbridge on Saturday 18th January.
At this time of year the Centre is filled with winter birds such as wigeon, teal, golden plover, lapwings etc The highlight is the feeding of the Bewick's Swans at 4pm.
We will meet inside the Entrance at 10am and head out towards the Rushy Hide. We will then meet up for refreshments in the Kingfisher Cafe at Noon.

There will be an outing to Nature in Art on Tuesday 18th February to see the International Photography of the Year Awards. This is the most prestigious International wildlife photography competition and will certainly offer lots of inspiration.
We will meet in the Entrance at 11am. Tickets are £7.50/ £6.75 concessions.
After viewing the photographs, we will head to the Cafe for refreshments.
