December meeting on the 5th
NOTE THIS WILL BE IN THE VICTORY CLUB DINING ROOM ON THE GROUND FLOOR OPPOSITE THE BAR.
Panels & PechaKucha!
Led by John Clare.
The focus on single images is a frustration for many camera club members.
This evening examines two ways of overcoming this:
Part 1 focuses on panels, including triptychs and diptychs. With a contribution from Colin Trow-Poole FRPS FIPF
who gave such a great talk at CCC in October
Part 2 introduces PechaKucha - a great way of telling a story: 20 photos, 20 secs each.
With a guest appearance by Mike Taylor, whose PechKucha presentation was one of the highlights of the
Northern Eye Festival in Wales in October.
An unmissable evening!
-----
January 2024 meeting on the 9th - actually the 2nd second Tuesday (for obvious reasons.)
The mysteries and options for 'off-camera-flash' will be adroitly demonstrated by Richard McCleery with, I am sure, opportunities to 'have a go'.
-----
February's meeting on the 6th.
... will see us catching up with the flow of Richard Jefferies' River Severn project. Hopefully further members will be getting on board.
----
March's meeting on the 5th.
A hobbyist photographer from outside the Club, but otherwise in the same boat as the rest of us, will show how he has got to grips with taking portraits with jsut a single light or source of illumination. Again, join in if you want.
-----
April's meeting on the 2nd.
Jamice and Karin will be running an interactive session on the ins and outs of nature photography - amply illustrated with their fine work to be sure.
-----
May's meeting on the 7th
Very much pencilled in with a 6B at the moment... 'How to make progress to RPS, PAGB and other qualifications'.
