This photo I took on my recent holiday in Canada. It was taken at the Emerald Lake in Alberta, which is a few miles due west of Lake Louise. It was taken in a bit of a hurry as I was racing back to our transport but I am rather pleased how it looks. It was taken with a 14mm wide angle lens so everything is in focus. I’ve included two versions, one with just a tree on the far left cropped out, and a second all the left removed up to the Lodge island. I think it produces two very different images and the first one for me has more personnel memories but a viewer without the memories may have a different opinion. I’ve been trying, without success, to improve the clouds which I think are a bit flat but it’s the same for all the images I took at that location.
