I entered in the last aggregate round and completely disagreed with the coment by the Judge. I plan to enter this as it is to a couple of external Salons shortly to see if I am right but thought it might be a useful discussion for Critique Group. The judge said that the sloping groyne should be removed giving a veiw on through. As it is, the viewers eyes do travel to the "offending" groyne then return back to the large detailed Groyne front/left which is well lit and the main onject I wish to be seen. This shot is exactly as taken. I have produced a version with the "offending" groyne removed (by PS) and it completley loses impact as your eyes are pulled away from the scene.
