Gloucestershire Young Photographer Entries Now Open!

Cheltenham Camera Club is delighted to announce that entry is now open for the 2024 GYP Competition, supported by Cheltenham Arts Council and the University of Gloucestershire.

Full details of the Competition have been sent to all schools in Gloucestershire along with instructions on how to enter.

The Competition, now in its 20th year, is open to pupils in Primary and Secondary Schools in Gloucestershire. First prize for the individual winner in both Primary and Secondary sections is £70, along with £40 for second and £20 for third places. Cups will be awarded for the BEST SCHOOL ENTRY in each section.

Each pupil may submit one titled digital image, of any subject, either in colour or monochrome, with resolution of 1920px wide x 1200px high. (A portrait format image should be 1200px high with the width correspondingly less than this)

Please send the Files to your School GYP Representative or teacher, for them to upload onto the website by Wednesday 20th March 2024. Schools will be requiring the entries a few days before this date, to allow time to upload them - so get them in early!

All winning images and all selected entries will be shown at the Audio-Visual Presentation at the Awards Evening at Cheltenham Playhouse on Thursday 25th April as well as being sent to all Schools that have entered.

We look forward to seeing your pictures.
